Telephone enquiry is always welcomed. Each visit is paid for separately. There are no forward payments demanded for prolonged courses of treatment, since treatment response is variable.

About the Qualification

After a two/three years of the study, the successful student will be an Associate of the Institute of Trichologists (AIT). Three years in practice allows the Associate to sit a further exam for full Membership of the Institute (MIT).

Fellowship of the Institute of Trichologists (FIT) is awarded by the governing board for what is considered an outstanding contribution to trichology as well as intensive research into a trichological subject.
The Institute of Trichology is the authority on the subject of scalp and hair disease and has a worldwide membership, The Battersea clinic is the official training centre for the south of England.

Founded in 1902 to treat and research hair and scalp problems, the Institute originally established a teaching clinic in Whitechapel, London. Unfortunately this building was destroyed in the Second World War and subsequently a hospital was re-established in Brixton in 1956.
The latter remained in operation until 1995. A new modern hospital is planned for the near future.
